Your opportunity

The Engagement Support Centre (ESC) is a specialist 100 strong team who sit within Deloitte’s Audit and Assurance practice, supporting them with tasks that vary from project organisation, to finance system control and much needed e-administration. It’s an incredibly interesting and challenging role that provides the opportunity to work directly with our client facing teams through the bid process and lifecycle of client projects. As a department we support clients ranging from large FTSE100 corporations to the private market industry. In addition to this the ESC also assists specialist internal teams within the Audit practice with compliance and strategic initiatives.

Your role

Your time will be spent working on the Audit Confirmation Centre (ACC) project mainly based out of Bucharest, but as part of the UK Component. The ACC generates, mails, chases, and collects bank confirmation letters to both domestic and overseas institutions on behalf of our client facing teams. The ACC Project serves to assist the UK Audit Firm in obtaining the confirmations required for checking client assets and confirming material balances that are used in audit reporting. 

Your role will be to deliver efficient, reliable and cost-effective working practices as part of the UK ACC Team, supporting the admin and offshore teams. The role will require great attention to detail, as well as a drive to work independently as well as part of a wider team. We foster a culture of continuous improvement so we will rely on you to develop best practice initiatives that will firmly benefit your stakeholders and the customer. You will have the opportunity to become a subject matter specialist and advance both your technical and soft skills.


  • Preparing and sending post for the team Daily
  • Monitoring of the team shared mailbox
  • Following up of information requests with third party entities globally
  • Processing submissions on behalf of the client facing team
  • Monitoring response to the engagements that are allocated
  • Providing stats to the team when requested
  • Updating information requests

Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. 
The role can be worked on a full-time basis.

Your professional experience

  • Organisation skills; ability to perform tasks, prioritise work and confidently manage conflicting demands especially where tight deadlines are involved.
  • Work effectively and proactively under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communicator, ensuring tasks are clearly understood and taking personal responsibility in dealing with queries to/from client facing teams.
  • Good communication via email and phone, working with global third parties you will need to be able to communicate well to obtain the information required.
  • Positive and professional approach to all aspects of work.
  • Punctual, flexible and responsive to all tasks undertaken.
  • Strong team player, embracing collaborative working within own team and the wider firm especially as the project is situated across multiple sites.
  • Problem solving skills, being able to identify issues in advance and correcting them to prevent delays.
  • Attention to detail and the personal motivation to perform to the highest standards.

Academic or Professional Qualifications:

  • English and Maths GCSE at grades A to C (or equivalent).
  • Microsoft office suite experience, with good Excel skills are particularly valued.
  • A degree is not essential for this role.
