We are looking for a part-time Marketing Manager and Brand Leader, working across territories to join the business based in our London team, working alongside our existing marketing and sales team on a number of fronts in this fast-paced, dynamic company. Travel to Spain is a feature of this role and the requirement for this will depend on business needs.

What will I be doing? 
No two days are the same at Elastacloud, and you’ll be working on several strands of marketing activity from the start. Some examples include:

  • Creating and leading the implementation of the marketing strategy
  • Building brand recognition and extending into new markets
  • Establishing and developing thought leadership opportunities
  • Generating fresh sales lead activity through new and existing marketing activity

Salary and benefits 
Salary remuneration is negotiable and is determined on experience and strategic skills, and you should have at least five years’ relevant experience. Aside from the generous annual salary, we offer a number of great benefits including:

Job description and person specification

Key responsibilities

  • Managing all marketing activity within the business
  • Community evangelism and personal brand evangelism lead
  • Build a strong brand following amongst communities
  • Planning and implementing marketing campaigns with the support of the Marketing Executive
  • Overseeing the marketing budget
  • Conference coordination
    • Partner management 
    • Stand preparation and staffing 
    • Acquisition of speaking slots 
    • Construction of opportunity calendar 
  • Create and implement a multi-territory marketing strategy in line with business objectives
  • Plan, implement, track and optimise marketing campaigns across multiple channels e.g. e-   mail, events, webinars, online advertising 
  • Create an Elastacloud brand management strategy
  • Research and create databases of market, competitor and customer intelligence
  • Develop a suite of marketing messages for all parts of the business 
  • Track and optimise marketing analytics, with a constant focus on ROI and continuous improvement 
  • Be the brand guardian for the Elastacloud brand and lead a ‘brand guardian’ team
  • Work closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Analyse potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing
  • Oversee the work of the Marketing Executive:
    • Create and manage content – social media, blogs, website  
    • Manage social media platforms, website and all marketing assets 
    • Help to develop a suite of marketing messages for all parts of the business 
    • Create marketing materials – case studies, brochures, slide decks etc.  
    • Collate and curate image and document library for marketing purposes
    • Conduct market research using, for example, customer surveys and focus groups
  • Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title at the directors’ or manager’s direction

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar
  • Good grasp of advanced marketing tools and techniques  
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously and to work well under pressure
  • An eye for detail
  • Drive and self-motivation with a flexible approach to work
  • Strong creative outlook
  • A passion for early adoption of the latest trends, techniques and tools in marketing 
  • Confident and dynamic personality
  • Strong analytical and project management skills 
  • Strong teamworking skills with the ability to foster good working relationships 
  • Strong communication: interpersonal, presentation and writing 
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills
  • Experience of managing others
  • Experience of running community groups, using Meetup, etc
  • At least five years’ relevant experience

Desirable knowledge, abilities skills and experience

  • Qualified chartered marketer
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • GCSE level Spanish language skills 
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in technology related marketing; consultancy, products or services
