Our Operations and Design teams consist of Content Design, Content Enablement, Content Management, Faculty Management, Event Management and Strategy & Management. These teams work collectively to grow, develop and extend high quality and innovative learning solutions to the business. Our Operations function is a large part of this community and manages all resources our side of he Design team.
Reporting to the HRD for Learning, this is a great opportunity to play an influential role in Learning’s transformation. As a senior manager you will oversee the Content enablement, Content Management, Event Management, Faculty Management and the Strategy & Management teams. You will set the agenda for this large team and support the HRD for Learning in continuing to drive change in the Partnership. Through your strategic and day-to-day leadership, we will rely on you to foster a culture of continuous improvement to deliver learning in a way that is both future-proof and agile.
It’s a faced-paced and changing environment. You’ll need to be highly organised to successfully deliver multiple projects that are on time and within budget. Effective stakeholder management will be key. You will have the intellectual reach to leap from strategic support to the HRD through to Operational Excellence in the delivery of much of your team’s workload. You’ll be a role model for your high performing teams, adept at collaborating, communicating, influencing and coaching those around you in the pursuit of operational excellence.

Your professional experience
- Key requirement to be highly organised and methodical, strong operational effectiveness, successful project delivery and management of risk.
- Adept at communicating, influencing, coaching, challenging and managing senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple activities and streams of work to co-ordinate and manage.
- The ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively, and consult effectively and independently with senior levels of the organisation.
- Good commercial acumen for vendor management and financial planning.
- Experience of working with external vendors, procurement and contractual arrangements/SLAs.
- Strong track record of managing a team and driving performance and development.
