We are recruiting for an EA / Office Manager to support the Director of a very small, busy consultancy practice in a tranquil office near London Bridge, SE1.  

The practice was established 25 years ago.  We work primarily with the public and not for profit sectors, offering individual coaching, professional supervision, team development, management and organisational development and teaching. 

The role is varied and includes:

  • Diary management
  • Travel arrangements and itineraries
  • Close liaison and good relationships with clients and their PAs / EAs
  • Reception of clients, preparing meeting rooms, organising refreshments, including some working lunches
  • Sustaining the calm and welcoming ambience of the office
  • Managing room hire for our associates
  • Maintaining data bases
  • Proof-reading materials prepared by the Director.  Producing briefing packs and summary notes to a high standard 
  • Filing and archiving
  • Maintaining our library of books, periodicals and papers
  • Invoicing and basic book-keeping (AccountEdge software)
  • Office supplies (e.g. stationery, psychometrics, cleaning materials, kitchen, catering, flowers)
  • Office and office equipment maintenance arrangements
  • Health and safety
  • Liaison with suppliers and contractors (e.g. cleaner, IT support, book-keeper, accountant, building repair contractors, managing agents)

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • Several years’ experience as a PA / EA, administrator and office manager
  • Excellent IT skills – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook, Apple Mac User (including iCal, FileMaker)
  • Used to maintaining databases
  • Logical approach to basic IT troubleshooting
  • Basic book-keeping experience, familiarity with a book-keeping software package
  • Able to build excellent relationships by phone and in person with a wide range of people from all walks of life - warmth, tact and empathy
  • Able to keep very strict boundaries of confidentiality
  • Familiarity with GDPR (we have a practice policy)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • High level of numeracy
  • Organised, efficient, methodical and able to prioritise and multi-task.


  • Graduate or equivalent level of education
  • Familiar with AccountEdge (We will offer training as needed)
  • Knowledge of the NHS and related public and third sector organisations
