The Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a communications assistant to be part of our North London Waste Authority (NWLA) communications team. In this role you will support all aspects of communications – from social media activity, proactive PR, design and print and also involvement in campaigns and internal communications. You will support the team by providing communications and administrative support to enable the successful delivery of activities set out in the North London Waste Authority communications strategy.

About You

The right individual will have experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment, experience of delivering social or digital or other communications activities is also essential as well as good organisational skills as you will often have to manage conflicting demands and be able to prioritise accordingly. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good attention to detail. 

You will also have knowledge of MS Office or equivalent and knowledge of social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.   

A Degree level qualification or communications/marketing qualification is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of local government policies and procedures is also advantageous.
