The Role

We're seeking two Legal internships to support the Housing and Litigation and Children and Adult Care teams within Camden’s legal department.  During your six week internship you will gain practical experience of working with a busy team of lawyers in a public sector organisation. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience relating to both general and public sector specific legal issues.

You will carry out a full range of defined tasks associated with the managing of legal cases.  This may involve preparing case bundles and attending court hearings.  Alongside this, you will assist legal services staff with day-to-day administrative tasks as required.

About You

The successful candidate will be currently undertaking or will have recently completed a degree in law.  You will be able to effectively demonstrate your knowledge of Local Government and Administrative law.  You will also have working knowledge of standard Microsoft IT packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

You will have experience of communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.  You will also be able to accurately analyse complex information to identify relevant points.
