It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we continue to embark on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. We are now looking for a Budgeting and Accounting Senior Finance Officer to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this. 

The role 
As a Budgeting and Accounting Senior Finance Officer, you will maintain accurate records and processes, providing support and advice for IT Operations and IT Services within the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate. You will work with the Budget holder to ensure effective financial accounting and control of the IT Operations and IT Services Group Business As Usual (BAU) and Fixed Asset budgets. Part of the role will involve managing the regular monthly processes, including downloading and reconciling the transaction reports, monthly accruals and prepayment files with the IT Operations and IT services Group Monitoring and Forecasting documentation. 

The person 
We are looking for an effective, self-motivated individual who can demonstrate experience of delivering financial management outcomes within a complex environment. You will have practical knowledge and experience of making the best use of information from financial management systems and reporting tools and be confident working with numbers, particularly the ability to reconcile different sets of information. In addition, you have experience of payment transaction processes, budgeting and the accurate recording and processing of financial data and proven ability to concisely summarise and present information relating to complex scenarios. 

Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR. We are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the directorate’s teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take our major transformation programme forward.
