Lead R&D Development Producer (Part-Time)
The Internet Research & Futures Services (IRFS) team in BBC Research & Development is looking for a producer or programme manager to organise and oversee our projects and improve the ways we work. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of research scientists, developers, UX designers and producers who explore the future of the BBC, media and the internet.
Depending on your skills and interests you are likely to be managing our portfolio of projects, reporting on progress, maintaining roadmaps, helping us improve our processes and ways of working, managing budgets, looking after relationships with stakeholders and project partners (inside and outside) and co-ordinating work across project teams.
We are offering this opportunity solely as a part-time role (0.5 full time) that is based in London (W12), but we offer some flexibility in working arrangements such as regular working from home. As such we hope it may suit applicants who need flexibility in their working arrangements.
As an employer we are committed to making reasonable adjustments to support employees in their work if they have a disability. We regularly audit our systems and buildings to ensure accessibility for all staff and visitors with disabilities.
Are you the right candidate?
We’re looking for someone who is organised and determined, but also curious, open-minded and creative. You will take satisfaction in supporting colleagues and work in a collaborative and inclusive manner to get things done, unite teams and get the best out of people. You should want to do pioneering work with new technology and help make a better future for media and the internet. This is an exciting opportunity to work on things that will ultimately have an impact on the role of the BBC online.
