The Software Engineering CoE is looking for an authority and passionate Engineering Lead (DevOps) with strong hands-on experience building large scale Web Application in a modern DevOps environment.

What would you get involved with?
As our mission is to be a catalyst for change, our team is mainly focused in accelerating adoption of modern engineering practices: DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud First, Agile, etc...
We generally engage in two broad categories of work:
Vertical: We work alongside other teams to provide support and guidance on how to accelerate their transformation
Horizontal: We use the experience matured in the Vertical work to create or share existing cross-cutting tools and practices that can be used by any team in the organisation.
As an engineering centric team, we have fair degree of autonomy about what we work on and we strive to dedicate our effort on the most impactful work.
Ideally what are the skills required to be considered for this job?
Generally, you're comfortable in a hands-on technical leadership role, blending both proven leadership experience and technical expertise.
We welcome people from a range of role backgrounds but do need to see the following as a minimum for consideration:
Oh, and if you have exposure to the following that would be ideal, but please still apply if you don't! Kubernetes, proficiency in Shell scripting and in one or more open source scripting languages, such as Python or Bash, project work, an awareness of security considerations and security tools.

Salary: £55,800 to £74,400 base salary, plus significant annual personal bonus %, car allowance, 13% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.
