This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is bringing people of all backgrounds and abilities together and delivering effective programmes.

Taking responsibility for a geographical area, this Charity is seeking a Finance Business Partner (FBP) to work closely with the Community Branch teams to support and develop financial information to be used in local decision making.

You will be an integral part of the operational unit teams, and will act as the ‘Finance Manager’ for these areas.

You will contribute to financial information gathering and add real value in supporting Directors and Managers in scenario planning and modelling.

Duties and Responsibilities
•Ensuring Management Accounts and reporting is accurate and timely
•As part of a FBP team - maintain control accounts, bank account reconciliations and all other balance sheets items
•As part of a FBP team – ensure compliance with our reporting obligations including VAT and statutory accounts.
•Production of forecasts and budgets collaboratively with the Community Manager and Director
•Financial modelling and scenario planning to assist decision making
•Advocating for operational areas within the wider business
•Providing high quality financial analysis to support decision making
•Taking the initiative to improve business performance
•As part of a team - provide financial expertise to ensure compliance requirements are met (Housing, Early Years etc)

Qualifications and Experience
•At least 1 year demonstrable and relevant experience in either a Business Partnering or Management Accounts Role
•Sound knowledge of accounting practice (P&L, BS, CF)
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to translate ‘financial language’ into layman’s terms and using knowledge gained in the operations to ensure financial processes and best practice.
•Ability to work cross functionally
•Part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
•Strong Excel skills

•Full UK driving licence and own transport as travel will be expected to meet business needs

Benefits: 25 days per annum (pro rata) increasing with length of service
Location: Southampton
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 FTE per annum
Hours: 24 hours per week over 5 days
