It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we continue to embark on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and committed junior 2nd/3rd line Support Technician to perform a key role in providing an escalation point for technical queries. You will be involved with a variety of server, desktop, printing, remote and user facing support concerning our Windows based platform.

Job description

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will provide 2nd line support across our Windows based platform, support the 1st/2nd line teams to resolve issues that come into the Service Desk and act as a point of escalation.

Part of role will be to ensure effective investigation of assigned requests for support, including adherence to the Incident Management and the ISO 20000 framework. You will develop an in-depth technical knowledge of key infrastructure hardware and software components and adhere to IT Service Management guidelines.

Responsibilities

To meet the requirements of this role, you have the proven ability to provide end user PC support and problem resolution, whilst planning, organizing and prioritizing your workload to meet the customers needs.

In addition, you have a working knowledge of the following; Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2, Windows 7 / 10, MS Office Suite, PC hardware repair and networking knowledge of (LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP).

Problem solving skills and excellent communication skills are essential, as is being able to handle customer interactions across multiple mediums.
