Centre of Excellence Project Manager - UK&I Resource Management - Part time 3 days/wk, 12 Month FTC

In this pivotal role, you will be part of the UK&I Resource Management Team which is recognised as an integral enabler to the growth of business. 

This role is within our Centre of Excellence (CoE) team which focuses on:

  • Ensuring Resourcing team capabilities can respond to Service Line (SL) needs
  • Driving technology enablement and improving data quality and insight for better decisions
  • Driving offshoring and automation of Resourcing activities
  • Driving investigation and analysis of new innovative technologies and projects

The opportunity

  • You will own a transformation portfolio that aligns to the Resourcing strategy and will include Technology, Operational Excellence and Data & Analytics projects for which you will manage and drive change management activities
  • Our Project Managers own a portfolio ranging from small regional automations through to large scale Global projects also specialising and managing differing regional stakeholders
  • You will manage CoE projects for the Resourcing function across the UK and Ireland who provide resource management services to over 12,000 people across the regions 
  • You will report to the UK&I / FS Resourcing CoE Leader

Your key responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Manage people and processes to ensure that a portfolio of complex projects is delivered on time and produce the desired results
  • Manage projects from ideation and requirements gathering through to implementation, Identifying opportunities for continuous improvements across Resourcing, e.g. process redesign, off-shoring and automation
  • The go-to person for everything involving a project’s organisation, timeline and delivery
  • Manage internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility with clarity on return on investment
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and report on project statuses
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs with a continual focus on return on investment 
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage project risks with appropriate and timely escalation to leadership
  • Internally and externally networked to bring new perspective, insights and opportunities to the function across technology platforms
  • Perform business analysis to inform the requirements and design of new tools and technology that will transform the Resourcing function

Change Management:

  • Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Conduct detailed impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Design, development, delivery and management of communications to support change from project portfolio
  • Document requirements, design and delivery of training and change programmes
  • Consult and coach Resourcing teams on delivery of new technologies, process and services
  • Engage with our SL Resourcing Leaders to understand SL requirements and lead projects and change that ensure the Resourcing team have the appropriate tools, training and capability to meet client expectations 
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders (Strategic Resourcing Leads) building trusted relationships

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Knowledge and experience of project and change management principles and implementation
  • Cost and budget management
  • Experience of delivering analytics, automation and technology projects 
  • An understanding of Resource Management within a Professional Services environment

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of working within Resource Management in a Professional Services environment
  • Design Thinking skills and experience
