About Lloyds Banking

Our Purpose

At Lloyds Banking Group our colleagues are passionate about helping Britain prosper and are committed to achieving our vision of becoming the best bank for customers.

We believe that we can only achieve this vision if we create an environment where our colleagues are supported to thrive; contributing in a way that works for them.

Our commitment to creating this culture has seen us appear in The Times Top 50 employers for women consecutively for the past eight years, and

Working Families (the UK’s leading work-life balance campaign organisation) has named us among their Top Ten Employers.

Our Culture

At Lloyds Banking Group Our goal is to become the best bank for customers; one that truly reflects 21st century Britain in the diversity of its workforce and, consequently, understands the needs of an equally diverse customer base.

We are committed to building a culture that encourages innovative agile working policies and practices to bring both long lasting benefits for our business, and to support our colleagues to achieve true work life balance.

We believe that traditional working models are in need of revision if employees and businesses are to thrive in the 21st century. Agile Working is at the heart of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategy to work more efficiently for the benefit of our customers, colleagues, and the business.

We recognise the importance of family life, and invest in one of the best packages for working parents in the UK.

We led the way in 2014 by making a public commitment to have 40% of our senior roles occupied by women by 2020 – helping to ensure the diversity of our Group reflects that of the customers and communities we work to support.

In November 2016 LBG launched its groundwoman and kids breaking commitment to agile hiring and the commitment that all our vacancies whether internal or external will be recruited with full consideration of our agile working culture.

We are looking to create an organisation where colleagues can be themselves at work and progress on the basis of merit, whether their difference is visible or invisible.

We are therefore creating an environment where everyone can succeed in providing excellent service to our diverse customers and develop their individual careers, whatever their background.

Our five colleague diversity networks (Rainbow, Breakthrough, REACH, Family Matters and Access) aim to connect, support and develop colleagues from under-represented groups, and have more than 37,000 members between them.

Together we make it possible.
