Job Description Summary

The Successful candidate will be required to take ownership of creating and delivering an ongoing coaching and development programme, to coach and train Telephone Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Regional Support Consultants.
This would be achieved, using your existing knowledge of the industry and by keeping yourself informed of changes in our proposition, and the market that leads to a need for team and individual development.
You will work alongside the Regional Development Managers and Account Managers to agree the teams development needs and create solutions to enhance performance. This will support the motivation of the team and individuals in order to deliver the best outcomes for intermediaries and their clients.

Success in the role will be based on the same KPIs used as measures for the team demonstrating the value brought to the team by your coaching and development.

Intermediary Distribution's goal is to develop and manage relationships with the intermediary market, exerting technical expertise and influence to increase the flow of business with us, to help achieve our challenging market share aspirations for Retirement Account.

What will you be doing?

You'll take ownership of creating and delivering an ongoing coaching and development programme, to coach and train Telephone Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Regional Support Consultants.

You'll work alongside the Regional Development Managers and Account Managers to agree the teams development needs and create solutions to enhance performance. This will support the motivation of the team and individuals in order to deliver the best outcomes for intermediaries and their clients

Additional accountabilities will include;

  • Take ownership of creating and delivering an ongoing coaching and training programme. that supports the broader growth and development ambitions within the business area
  • Facilitate the sharing of standard methodology, influencing the design of local business plans and supporting the leadership team with delivery of the development solutions necessary to achieve continuous development of a customer orientated business.
  • Design and deliver business, regional and area training events/facilitation groups/coaching interventions, ensuring the achievement of agreed objectives by agreeing performance measures with line management ahead of the events.
  • Support propositional changes by ensuring the take to market approach is fully embedded across the Individual Intermediary Distribution teams
  • Call listening, joint face to face meetings and observations through regular quality checking is an essential part of this role
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained, deployed, counselled and motivated so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business.
  • Contribute to formulation of Individual Intermediary Regional & Divisional coaching and learning strategies.
  • Deliver effective regular coaching to individuals within the teams to ensure they realise their full potential. Utilise the skills and knowledge of the Specialists.
  • Apply appropriate distribution methods, drawing on support and insight from the Specialists, RDMs, IWCOO, Propositions, Marketing to achieve Distribution targets.
  • Align with specified risk and compliance procedures and practices ensuring that you're operating within Lloyds Banking Group policies at all times.
  • Co-ordinate the development of new entrants ensuring they reach role specific competency in the required time-scales
  • Identify individual and team gaps and support the leadership team to develop a strategy to deliver against them.

What we'll need from you;

  • Understanding of the intermediary market place including regulatory, technical and legislative issues.
  • Experience of working in a business development environment with front line experience of dealing with intermediary relationships.
  • Experienced in consultative selling and have the ability to coach this methodology
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills across all levels with the ability to deliver both on a one to one basis and in a group environment..
  • Ability to develop a training strategy and implement it using the appropriate resources.
  • Evidence of successfully motivating, leading and coaching a sales team
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through the ability to review a range of information and metrics and identify and prioritise appropriate actions
  • Create a highly engaging learner experience in every interaction
